Blogging for success debrief

Or using a blog to manage your business web site.

Last Wednesday I led a seminar for the Frontenac CFDC on using blogging tools to create successful web sites for small business. The boardroom at the CFDC’s office in Harrowsmith holds a dozen people and the room was full. Participants represented a range of small business from across Frontenac County and artists, crafts-people and various services.

The goal was to give people a background on what blogs are, their history & growth, and provide them with a glimpse of how businesses are already using these tools. I also tried to show how blogs can be used to manage an entire web site and put the business owner in direct control of their site’s content as well as managing its costs effectively. We also discussed the power of blogs to build relationships and community.
